The prototyping department is equipped with 5-axis CNC units, 3D printers for quick prototype creation and 3D scanners, which make it possible to map three-dimensional surfaces of scanned objects with incredible accuracy, using structured light technology.

Creation Of Moulds

The creation of moulds takes place at Teknostampi S.r.l., a TVC GROUP company, guaranteeing speed, flexibility and the same impeccable qualitative standards as Tacchificio Villa Cortese.

Moulds are designed by highly-qualified staff members with the assistance of next-generation CAD/CAM software. The technical specs of the pieces to be produced are acquired digitally by the prototyping office of Tacchificio Villa Cortese, then processed and developed thanks to the connected 5-axis CNC units and lathes.

Printing

Shoe heels are 3D printed in-house at Tacchificio Villa Cortese to guarantee flexibility in their design and fast delivery times.

The printing department is equipped with injection moulds that can be used with ABS, polystyrene, plexiglass and TPU, and injection carousels for TR moulding.

Milling

Finishing

Coating and other finishing processes take place at VILLA CORTESE FINISHING, a TVC GROUP company, which makes it possible to ensure speed, flexibility and the same strict quality standards as Tacchificio Villa Cortese.

The characterization of colour gradations and the preparation of coatings takes place with the help of sophisticated equipment, such as the spectrophotometer (which makes it possible to reproduce the exact colour desired) and an advanced mixing machine that uses finely-tuned software to prepare formulations, colours and coating blends.

Products are coated in a pressurised compartment with a next-generation temperature-control inverter thanks to a robotic cell.

Quality Control

Quality controls are carried out at every step of the production process according to the benchmarks defined by the Product Office and by the R&D team.

The excellence of our products is guaranteed by the use of fine materials and constant research into innovations that offer improved performance, quality and workability.

The R&D department also carries out:

  • microscope tests
  • UNI EN ISO 19556 impact load resistance testing, for heels in production (periodically) and for new product samples (daily)
  • abrasion tests on single and two-component heel tips thanks to the use of a rotating drum abrasion tester.
